Hello, Thank you so much for stopping by! I am elated to show off my new website with a fresh new look. Although Makeup Expressions has been around for a while, the Blog is a new addition that I am SO excited for. I can't wait to share all my tips, tricks, client features and so much more.
For those that don't know me, my name is Rimpal and I am the Founder, Makeup Artist and Driving force behind Makeup Expressions. Here are some questions I am asked most often:
How long have you been doing Makeup for?
The real answer to this is as far back as I can remember. No joke, I have vivid memories of sneaking makeup to school in elementary and at recess to apply it on my friends, LOL. I spent most of my childhood playing "hair stylist & makeup artist" with my sisters, painting all over their faces! Having 3 of them I could always convince at least one of them to be my canvas.
Now if you don't count my early training years, I've been doing Makeup professionally for 9 years.

Where did you go to School?
I am actually primarily self taught. I do firmly believe that learning is lifelong and with that my promise to myself is I will never stop learning. I take pride in keeping up to date on the latest trends, techniques and products. I am continuously attending seminars, taking classes and working on creative projects in order to learn as much as I can and provide the best services possible as an artist. My most recent training pursuit brought me all the way to LA to learn one-on-one in an intensive course with world renowned artist, Tamanna Roashan of Dress Your Face.
Now Fast Forward many years to my grown up baby sister! Jasmine is still letting me perfect my craft on her. She was my model for my course with Tamanna.

Who has been the biggest influence in your life?
My Maternal Grandfather. I owe all of my artistic abilities to him. As an artist and architect himself he taught me so much about colors, sketching, painting, brushes and well a whole ton about life! Watching him draw and paint was my absolute favorite thing to do - I'm sure he didn't appreciate the 10,000 questions I had but always took the time to answer them with care and detail. I am forever indebted to him for seeing the artistic abilities in me and nurturing them.
What is your favorite part about your job?
All the wonderful clients that I get to meet on a daily basis. There truly is no better feeling then knowing you are trusted by someone on the most important days of their lives. After I am done makeup on a client and I pass them my mirror to have a look and they love what they see is why I do what I do.

SOME FUN FACTS:
I love weddings and anything wedding related. I love making faces beautiful. I love that every woman has natural beauty. I love to laugh, really loud & talk a lot. I am madly in love with a man who I know is my soulmate. I have no doubt makeup is what I was born to do. I believe styling hair and doing makeup is an art. I have the best family. Although I love weddings I hope to elope one day. I love that every wedding is unique, and every bride is lovely. I love that I still cry at most booking when Mom and Dad see their daughter as a bride for the first time… and hope for this forever.
